Therapy is a collaborative tool, designed with your unique needs in mind. It helps you peel back the layers that are keeping you from being your best self. Whether work, family, or relationships working with me is a way to find your inner peace and reflect on your being.
My goal is to help you reach your goals one step at a time. Utilizing a CBT, DBT and ACT lens we’ll work to process your thoughts and feelings so you can move forward. Together we’ll discover the most efficient steps towards healing, carving a pathway for your goals.
CBT
CBT or Cognitive Behavior Therapy is a type of therapy that encourages clients to change their thinking (reframe) patterns and essentially teaches how to be your “own therapist.” It’s also referred to as a common type of “talk” therapy. You’ll work through problems and develop coping skills to shift your mindset, behaviors and problematic emotions.
This type of therapy reflects on what is happening in the client’s current life. Trust and a collaborative relationship must be established between the patient and client to see the most progress. Using CBT as a tool for growth and reflection may be used if you’re-

DBT
DBT or Dialectical Behavior Therapy is another type of talk therapy or psychotherapy based on CBT. However DBT is adapted for clients who experience emotions intensely. Since “dialectical” means combining opposite ideas, this type of therapy focuses on helping clients accept reality and their behaviors all while learning how to make a positive change in their lives- teaching healthier ways to cope.
ACT
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or ACT is another type of talk therapy used with my clients. It’s a mindful psychotherapy helping clients stay focused on the present moment, and accepting their thoughts and emotions without judgment. The focus is to help the client move forward through their challenging emotions, so they can heal instead of dwell. You’lll learn to accept your emotions and understand that negative feelings are a part of life. Acceptance and commitment to your inner reflection.
